채 means "in the state of … still" and keeps a state open while another action happens. 대로 means "according to" or "just as" and follows a statement, rule or preference. 대로 is not the same as 처럼.

채 follows a modifier and describes a state that continues: 눈을 뜬 채 (with eyes open), 문을 닫은 채 (with the door closed). 대로 follows a noun, a modifier or a clause and means that something matches it: 계획대로 (according to plan), 말한 대로 (just as said), 마음대로 (as one likes).
‘채’ किसी विशेषक के बाद आकर जारी अवस्था बताता है: 눈을 뜬 채 (आँखें खोले हुए), 문을 닫은 채 (दरवाज़ा बंद किए हुए)। ‘대로’ संज्ञा, विशेषक या उपवाक्य के बाद आकर बताता है कि कोई बात उसके अनुरूप है: 계획대로 (योजना के अनुसार), 말한 대로 (जैसा कहा गया), 마음대로 (मन के अनुसार)।
Verb + -(으)ㄴ 채(로): 앉은 채로, 열린 채로. Noun + 대로: 계획대로, 규칙대로. Verb + -(으)ㄴ/는 대로: 말한 대로, 보는 대로. 대로 takes no particle after it. The 로 after 채 is optional and does not change the meaning.
क्रिया + -(으)ㄴ 채(로): 앉은 채로, 열린 채로। संज्ञा + 대로: 계획대로, 규칙대로। क्रिया + -(으)ㄴ/는 대로: 말한 대로, 보는 대로। ‘대로’ के बाद कोई कण नहीं आता। ‘채’ के बाद ‘로’ वैकल्पिक है और अर्थ नहीं बदलता।
그는 눈을 감은 채 음악을 들었어요. (He listened to music with his eyes closed.) 문을 열어 둔 채로 나갔어요. (I went out leaving the door open.) 선생님이 말한 대로 시험 문제가 나왔어요. (The exam came out just as the teacher said.) 주말에는 마음대로 시간을 쓸 수 있어요. (On weekends I can use my time as I like.) 안내문에 적힌 대로 신청하세요. (Apply as written in the notice.)
그는 눈을 감은 채 음악을 들었어요। (उसने आँखें बंद किए हुए संगीत सुना।) 문을 열어 둔 채로 나갔어요। (मैं दरवाज़ा खुला छोड़कर बाहर गया।) 선생님이 말한 대로 시험 문제가 나왔어요। (परीक्षा में वैसे ही प्रश्न आए जैसे शिक्षक जी ने कहे थे।) 주말에는 마음대로 시간을 쓸 수 있어요। (सप्ताहांत में मैं अपना समय मन के अनुसार लगा सकता हूँ।) 안내문에 적힌 대로 신청하세요। (सूचना में लिखे अनुसार आवेदन करें।)
눈을 뜬 대로 does not mean "with eyes open"; it means "as soon as I open my eyes". 채 keeps a state, while 대로 follows a standard or a statement. Do not add 로 to 대로: 말한 대로로 is wrong. Do not confuse 대로 with 처럼: 처럼 compares two things, 대로 follows a rule or a statement.
눈을 뜬 대로 का अर्थ "आँखें खोले हुए" नहीं, बल्कि "आँख खुलते ही" है। ‘채’ अवस्था बनाए रखता है, जबकि ‘대로’ किसी मानक या कथन के अनुसार चलता है। ‘대로’ के बाद ‘로’ न जोड़ें: 말한 대로로 गलत है। ‘대로’ को ‘처럼’ से न मिलाएँ: ‘처럼’ दो वस्तुओं की तुलना करता है, ‘대로’ नियम या कथन का पालन बताता है।
Ask whether the sentence describes a state that continues (채) or a rule, statement or preference that is followed (대로). If you can insert "while still", use 채; if you can insert "just as", use 대로.
देखें कि वाक्य किसी जारी अवस्था का वर्णन करता है (채) या किसी नियम, कथन या इच्छा का पालन (대로)। यदि "उसी अवस्था में" लगा सकें तो ‘채’, और यदि "जैसा" लगा सकें तो ‘대로’ चुनें।
TOPIK II reading often uses -(으)ㄴ 채로 in descriptions of a scene and 대로 in instructions or reported speech. The question may ask what the person did first or which action matches the instruction.
