You cannot count a noun directly in Korean. A number must be followed by a counter - 명 for people, 개 for things, 마리 for animals - before the noun is named.

Korean classifies what it counts. 사람 uses 명, objects use 개, animals use 마리, books use 권 and cups use 잔. A bare number cannot stand alone before a noun.
कोरियाई गिनी जाने वाली चीज़ का वर्ग तय करता है। 사람 के लिए 명, वस्तुओं के लिए 개, पशुओं के लिए 마리, किताबों के लिए 권 और प्यालों के लिए 잔। संज्ञा से पहले केवल संख्या नहीं टिक सकती।
The word order is 사과 한 개 (one apple), 학생 두 명 (two students), 고양이 세 마리 (three cats). The counter follows the number, and both answer the question 몇 개? 몇 명? 몇 마리?
शब्द-क्रम है 사과 한 개 (एक सेब), 학생 두 명 (दो विद्यार्थी), 고양이 세 마리 (तीन बिल्लियाँ)। गणक संख्या के बाद आता है, और दोनों मिलकर 몇 개? 몇 명? 몇 마리? का उत्तर देते हैं।
저는 사과 두 개와 우유 한 병을 샀어요 (I bought two apples and one bottle of milk). 교실에 학생 세 명이 있어요 (There are three students in the classroom). 개가 두 마리 있어요 (There are two dogs).
저는 사과 두 개와 우유 한 병을 샀어요 (मैंने दो सेब और एक बोतल दूध ख़रीदा)। 교실에 학생 세 명이 있어요 (कक्षा में तीन विद्यार्थी हैं)। 개가 두 마리 있어요 (दो कुत्ते हैं)।
개 counts things, never people. Writing 친구 두 개 is an insult. For people use 명: 친구 두 명. Likewise say 사과 두 개 but 사람 두 명.
개 वस्तुएँ गिनता है, व्यक्ति नहीं। 친구 두 개 लिखना अपमान जैसा लगता है। व्यक्तियों के लिए 명 लगाएँ: 친구 두 명। इसी तरह 사과 두 개 पर 사람 두 명 कहें।
Group nouns by counter as you learn them: people -> 명, animals -> 마리, books -> 권, drinks -> 잔. When you meet a new noun, ask which counter it takes.
संज्ञाओं को गणक के अनुसार समूह बनाकर सीखें: व्यक्ति -> 명, पशु -> 마리, किताबें -> 권, पेय -> 잔। नई संज्ञा मिलने पर पूछें कि उसका गणक कौन-सा है।

Answer: 권
