Numbers & Counters 2
Dates are read year, month, day - all with Sino numbers. Months are simply a number plus 월, and days are a number plus 일: 유월 십오 일 is June 15.

Dates use Sino numbers throughout: 년 (year), 월 (month), 일 (day). There is no separate counter, because 월 and 일 already do that job.
तारीख़ों में हर जगह हान्जा संख्याएँ लगती हैं: 년 (वर्ष), 월 (महीना), 일 (दिन)। अलग गणक नहीं लगता, क्योंकि 월 और 일 स्वयं वह काम करते हैं।
Write the units in order: 이천이십사 년 (year 2024), 유월 (June), 십오 일 (the 15th). Note that months 6 and 10 have special names: 유월 and 시월, not 육월 and 십월.
इकाइयाँ क्रम में लिखें: 이천이십사 년 (वर्ष 2024), 유월 (जून), 십오 일 (पंद्रहवाँ)। ध्यान दें कि छठे और दसवें महीने के विशेष नाम हैं: 유월 और 시월, न कि 육월 और 십월।
제 생일은 유월 십오 일이에요 (My birthday is June 15). 오늘은 이천이십사 년 삼 월 일 일이에요 (Today is March 1, 2024). 시월 이 일에 만나요 (Let us meet on October 2).
제 생일은 유월 십오 일이에요 (मेरा जन्मदिन पंद्रह जून है)। 오늘은 이천이십사 년 삼 월 일 일이에요 (आज पहली मार्च 2024 है)। 시월 이 일에 만나요 (दो अक्टूबर को मिलते हैं)।
A day is never 한 일 or 두 월. Dates are pure Sino: 일 일 (the 1st), 이 월 (February). The native set belongs to hours and counters, not to the calendar.
दिन कभी 한 일 या महीना कभी 두 월 नहीं होता। तारीख़ें पूरी तरह हान्जा हैं: 일 일 (पहली), 이 월 (फ़रवरी)। मूल श्रृंखला घंटों और गणकों की है, कैलेंडर की नहीं।
Only two months break the pattern: 유월 (June) and 시월 (October). Say them aloud as a pair, because 육월 and 십월 are the mistakes examiners watch for.
केवल दो महीने नियम तोड़ते हैं: 유월 (जून) और 시월 (अक्टूबर)। इन्हें जोड़ी में बोलकर याद करें, क्योंकि 육월 और 십월 वही गलतियाँ हैं जिन पर परीक्षक नज़र रखते हैं।
TOPIK I reading frequently shows a schedule or invitation and asks for a date. Scan for 년, 월 and 일 and read the numbers as Sino, remembering 유월 and 시월.
