Sino-Korean numbers - 일, 이, 삼 - are borrowed from Chinese and handle dates, money, minutes, phone numbers and anything large. They never shorten before a counter.
Numbers & Counters — Native and Sino-Korean numbers with their counters.
Sino numbers are 일 (one), 이 (two), 삼 (three), 사 (four), 오 (five), 육 (six), 칠 (seven), 팔 (eight), 구 (nine), 십 (ten), 백 (hundred), 천 (thousand), 만 (ten thousand).
हान्जा संख्याएँ हैं 일 (एक), 이 (दो), 삼 (तीन), 사 (चार), 오 (पाँच), 육 (छह), 칠 (सात), 팔 (आठ), 구 (नौ), 십 (दस), 백 (सौ), 천 (हज़ार), 만 (दस हज़ार)।
Stack the units: 이십 (twenty) is 이 + 십, 삼십오 (thirty-five) is 삼 + 십 + 오, 구백 (nine hundred) is 구 + 백. Korean groups by 만 (ten thousand), not by thousand.
इकाइयाँ जोड़ते जाएँ: 이십 (बीस) = 이 + 십, 삼십오 (पैंतीस) = 삼 + 십 + 오, 구백 (नौ सौ) = 구 + 백। कोरियाई हज़ार के बजाय 만 (दस हज़ार) के समूह में गिनता है।
오백 번 버스를 타요 (I take bus number 500). 전화번호는 공일공 일이삼사 오육칠팔이에요 (The phone number is 010-1234-5678). 이천 원이에요 (It is two thousand won).
오백 번 버스를 타요 (मैं बस नंबर 500 लेता हूँ)। 전화번호는 공일공 일이삼사 오육칠팔이에요 (फ़ोन नंबर 010-1234-5678 है)। 이천 원이에요 (यह दो हज़ार वॉन है)।
Do not say 열 원 for ten won; money needs the Sino form 십 원. And do not say 일 개 for one thing; a counter with an object needs the native 한 개. Match the set to the domain.
दस वॉन के लिए 열 원 न कहें; पैसे में हान्जा रूप 십 원 लगता है। और एक वस्तु के लिए 일 개 न कहें; वस्तु के गणक के साथ मूल रूप 한 개 चाहिए। श्रृंखला को उसके क्षेत्र से मिलाएँ।
Learn the set by scene: dates, money, minutes, phone numbers and floors take Sino; counting objects, people and animals takes native. When lost, ask which set the unit belongs to.
श्रृंखला को परिदृश्य से सीखें: तारीख़, पैसा, मिनट, फ़ोन नंबर और मंज़िलें हान्जा लेती हैं; वस्तु, व्यक्ति और पशु गिनना मूल लेता है। असमंजस हो तो सोचें कि इकाई किस श्रृंखला की है।
