A reading passage is won by the question, not by the passage. Read the question first, find the keyword, and read only the sentence that answers it.
TOPIK Preparation — TOPIK I and II format, scoring and strategy.
Read the question and its four options before the passage, so your eyes know the target. You do not need every word; you need the main idea and the keyword the question repeats.
अनुच्छेद से पहले प्रश्न और उसके चारों विकल्प पढ़ें, ताकि आपकी आँखों को लक्ष्य पता हो। हर शब्द आवश्यक नहीं; आपको मुख्य विचार और वह मुख्य शब्द चाहिए जिसे प्रश्न दोहराता है।
Step 1: read the question and options. Step 2: skim the passage for the keyword. Step 3: read only that sentence twice. Step 4: choose the option that matches it. Skipping step 2 is what costs the time.
चरण 1: प्रश्न और विकल्प पढ़ें। चरण 2: मुख्य शब्द के लिए अनुच्छेद पर सरसरी नज़र डालें। चरण 3: केवल उस वाक्य को दो बार पढ़ें। चरण 4: उससे मेल खाता विकल्प चुनें। चरण 2 छोड़ना ही समय बर्बाद करता है।
지문: 오늘은 비가 옵니다. 우산을 가져가세요. 질문: 무엇을 가져가야 합니까? The answer sits in the second sentence: 우산 (umbrella). The first sentence is only background.

Real life trains the same skill: on a train notice 영업시간 (opening hours) or a menu, you scan for one useful word, not the whole text. TOPIK reading is exactly that skill under a clock.
असल जीवन भी यही कौशल सिखाता है: रेल की सूचना पर 영업시간 (खुलने का समय) या किसी मेन्यू में आप पूरा पाठ नहीं, एक उपयोगी शब्द ढूँढ़ते हैं। TOPIK पठन वही कौशल घड़ी के दबाव में है।
Word-by-word translation burns the clock and buries the answer. The wrong options are built by keeping the passage wording but changing one noun, so compare each option against the exact sentence.
शब्द-दर-शब्द अनुवाद घड़ी बर्बाद करता है और उत्तर दबा देता है। ग़लत विकल्प अनुच्छेद के शब्द रखकर केवल एक संज्ञा बदल कर बनाए जाते हैं, इसलिए हर विकल्प की तुलना ठीक उसी वाक्य से करें।
그래서 signals a result, 하지만 signals a turn, 예를 들어 signals an example, and 따라서 signals a conclusion. They tell you where the writer is going before you understand every word.
그래서 परिणाम बताता है, 하지만 मोड़ बताता है, 예를 들어 उदाहरण बताता है, और 따라서 निष्कर्ष बताता है। हर शब्द समझने से पहले ये बता देते हैं कि लेखक कहाँ जा रहा है।
The reading section runs from single words to short texts, and the final items ask for the 중심 생각 (main idea). When time is short, mark the hard item, answer the easy ones first, and return only if the clock allows.
पठन भाग एक शब्द से छोटे पाठ तक चलता है, और अंतिम प्रश्न 중심 생각 (मुख्य विचार) पूछते हैं। समय कम हो तो कठिन प्रश्न पर चिह्न लगाएँ, पहले आसान प्रश्न हल करें, और घड़ी अनुमति दे तभी लौटें।
