TOPIK II listening rewards prediction, not word-by-word translation. Read the options before the audio, note who, where and why, and follow signal words such as 그런데, 그래서, 하지만, 사실은 and 결국. The correct answer is usually a paraphrase.
TOPIK Preparation — TOPIK I and II format, scoring and strategy.
Each item gives you a short pause before the audio. Use it to read the options and guess the situation: a shop, a classroom, a hospital, an office. Then listen for the information that separates the options, not for every word.
हर प्रश्न में ऑडियो से पहले थोड़ा विराम मिलता है। उसका उपयोग विकल्प पढ़ने और स्थिति का अनुमान लगाने में करें: दुकान, कक्षा, अस्पताल, कार्यालय। फिर हर शब्द नहीं, बल्कि विकल्पों को अलग करने वाली जानकारी सुनें।
남자: 이번 주말에 뭐 해요? 여자: 친구랑 등산을 가려고요. 남자: 날씨가 흐리던데 우산을 챙기세요. (The woman plans to go hiking; the man warns about rain.) 여자: 표가 매진됐대요. 남자: 그럼 다음 주 공연은 어때요? (The first choice is sold out, so the man suggests another date.)
남자: 이번 주말에 뭐 해요? 여자: 친구랑 등산을 가려고요। 남자: 날씨가 흐리던데 우산을 챙기세요। (महिला ने पहाड़ पर जाने की योजना बताई; पुरुष ने बारिश की चेतावनी दी।) 여자: 표가 매진됐대요। 남자: 그럼 다음 주 공연은 어때요? (पहला विकल्प बिक गया, इसलिए पुरुष ने दूसरी तारीख सुझाई।)
Underline numbers, times and places in the options. Write one or two letters as you listen: who, where, why. If you miss a word, keep following the signal words instead of stopping. Mark a guess and move on; later items are longer and need your attention.
विकल्पों में संख्याएँ, समय और स्थान रेखांकित करें। सुनते समय एक-दो अक्षर लिखें: कौन, कहाँ, क्यों। कोई शब्द छूट जाए तो रुकें नहीं, संकेत शब्दों का पीछा जारी रखें। अनुमान लगाकर उत्तर चिह्नित करें और आगे बढ़ें; बाद के प्रश्न लंबे होते हैं और ध्यान माँगते हैं।
Do not choose an option only because it repeats a word from the audio; TOPIK often paraphrases the answer. Do not wait for the final polite ending to decide, because the key information usually comes earlier. Do not translate every sentence in your head; track the flow of the conversation.
केवल इसलिए कोई विकल्प न चुनें कि वह ऑडियो का कोई शब्द दोहराता है; टॉपिक अक्सर उत्तर को दूसरे शब्दों में कहता है। निर्णय के लिए अंतिम विनम्र अंत की प्रतीक्षा न करें, क्योंकि मुख्य जानकारी प्रायः पहले आती है। मन में हर वाक्य का अनुवाद न करें; संवाद का प्रवाह पकड़ें।
Train under exam conditions: play the audio once, answer, then check the transcript. Keep a list of signal words and the situations they introduce. Review wrong answers by asking whether you missed a word, a relationship or the speaker intention.
परीक्षा की स्थिति में अभ्यास करें: ऑडियो एक बार चलाएँ, उत्तर दें, फिर प्रतिलेख देखें। संकेत शब्दों और उनसे बनने वाली स्थितियों की सूची रखें। गलत उत्तरों की जाँच करें कि क्या शब्द, संबंध या वक्ता का आशय छूटा।
TOPIK II listening has 50 questions and moves from short exchanges to long talks. The early items test detail and the later items test inference and attitude. Budget your attention: finish the short items quickly so the long passages get a full hearing.
टॉपिक द्वितीय के सुनने वाले खंड में पचास प्रश्न होते हैं और यह छोटे संवादों से लंबे भाषणों की ओर बढ़ता है। शुरुआती प्रश्न विवरण और बाद के प्रश्न अनुमान तथा दृष्टिकोण जाँचते हैं। अपना ध्यान बाँटें: छोटे प्रश्न जल्दी पूरे करें ताकि लंबे अनुच्छेद पूरा सुनाई दें।

निम्नलिखित वाक्य का कोरियाई में अनुवाद कीजिए: सुनते समय मुख्य शब्दों पर ध्यान दीजिए।
Answer: 들을 때 핵심 단어에 주의하세요.
💡 ‘-을 때’는 시간을 나타내고, ‘주의하다’는 조사 ‘에’와 함께 쓰입니다.
Q2. 가: 이번 시험 준비는 잘 되고 있어요? 나: ___. 문제가 너무 어려워서 걱정이에요.
क: इस परीक्षा की तैयारी ठीक चल रही है? ख: ___। प्रश्न बहुत कठिन हैं, इसलिए चिंता है।
Answer: 잘 모르겠어요.
💡 뒤에 ‘걱정이에요’라고 했으므로 준비가 잘 안 된다는 뜻의 ‘잘 모르겠어요’가 알맞습니다.
